In view of the labour shortage and fall of FFB price, cattle integration is the best way for estate to reduce its production cost. There is a lot of opportunity in cattle rearing in view of the shortage of cattle in the country.
The market opportunity is huge especially for korban animal. The demand for korban cattle is growing every year with more than 1000 heads of cattle are imported and the price of cattle is going up.
The only cheaper way of keeping animal in Sarawak is through cattle integration. Therefore I urge the plantations estates to meet up with the Veterinary Division of the Department of Agriculture Sarawak to work out the project.
